This countertop outlet is fully compliant with the 2023 National Electrical Code (NEC) 406.5E, making it safe and legal for installation in kitchen counters and other wet locations throughout the United States and Canada. It includes a UL listed 20 AMP tamper-resistant (TR) decora style receptacle and the complete unit is ETL listed for U.S. installations and cETL and CSA approved for Canadian use. A gasket located beneath the trim ring seals the cutout area, preventing moisture from entering the cabinetry below.

It is compatible with granite, marble, quartz, concrete, laminate, wood, and other surfaces. The receiving top cup allows a maximum thickness of a .5 inch thick disc. Any counter top thicker than this must be ground down to .5 inches before installation. The unit includes a 5-foot cord that must be hardwired to a standard junction box (not included), which must be connected to a GFCI circuit.
